The Capacity to Exercise Choice
Scripture: Genesis 2:16-17
“And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: (17) But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.” KJV
The Purest Example for freedom was established in the Garden
Adam and Eve were sinless and immortal. It was their responsibility to govern God’s entire creation. Satan sought to create a wedge between God and Adam. Satan envied Adam because of his bond with God. That relationship could not be infiltrated but Satan caught a break in the commandment. “For sin, taking occasion by the commandment, deceived me, and slew me” (Rom’s 7:11). “Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression” (I Tim. 2:14). Adam chose a Permanent Solution (Sin) for a Temporary Problem (Satan) resulting in “One Costly Meal.”
“One costly meal” from sermon delivered at True Light COGIC by Pastor Dr Terrell Harris (12/8/12)
Examine the following Scripture:
“Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression” (I Tim. 2:14).
God is the God of Freedom:
Freedom is the ability and authority to do anything within the parameters that God establishes. It is no such thing as freedom without consequences as in the Garden of Eden. In the presence of deception pseudo-freedom is alluring (grass is greener scenario). You cannot be free outside a relationship with God.
“Biblical Figures who had freedom made a bad choice but SNAPPED OUT OF IT”
- Prodigal Son… left home
- Nebuchadnezzar… lifted with pride
- Jonah… went the wrong way
Once you find the grass is not greener… you come to your senses. A negative response after succumbing to false freedom is Blame-shifting.
The Necessity of Spiritual Warfare
“With so many voices telling you how to be free, you are at risk of relinguishing your freedom, unless you remain vigilant and equipped for Satan’s attack” (page 320).
- Children & Teens (voices of Peer Pressure, voices of name calling) Sticks and Stones: words are a powerful tool either uplift or tear down.
- Away from parents strange voices may influence negative behavior
- Young Adults (voices of rebellion)
- Free to enjoy entertainment may contradict what God wants. What you read, watch and listen to from the world’s media may attack your relationship with God (turn the channel).
- Adults (voices of financial pressures and impulsive spending)
- Bad choices with economic freedom may result in financial bondage
Real (true) Freedom is obedience to God’s truth. Pseudo (false) Freedom is listening to Satan’s lie.
We must exercise our freedom of choice by seeking and following God’s direction. Wise decision making comes from seeking God’s wisdom. Wise choices come from seeking God’s will. They result in following His ways.” Charles Stanley
“…The testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy…” (Revelation 19:10).
Trust in Him!

Our relationship with others is a vital part of our life and how others view you attribute to adult behavior. Nevertheless, youthful exuberant is refreshing because of its raw, unadulterated honesty. Childish responses to adult situations at times are looked upon as spots of nothingness to the well-informed adult brain. Children seldom act in regards of how others will perceive them. They just do what is convenient for them and what please their immediate concerns. Adults are full of agendas and political referendums that stack upon each other contributing to a complex compilation of routes and themes that are confusing to the uninformed and impossible to discern for a child. This is why I believe Jesus said: “Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the Kingdom of Heaven.” (Matt.18:3) The rules to the Kingdom of Heaven are simply encapsulated in the Golden Rule “Do unto others as you will have them do unto you” nothing more nothing less. In speaking truth, it matters little if you rub someone the wrong way or if you speak out of turn. The Kingdom of is thus, and God designed it to contain perpetual victory for its adherents
I Corinthians 13th also known as the Love Chapter is a nugget of truth that gives us a glimpse of perfected love. “When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things” I Cor. 13:11. In the Kingdom of God, when responding in faith and humility, it is imperative to consider the implications of what others may perceive in what you say or do. A chief concern for those in the Light is not to quench the Spirit, as one decides how to render judgment towards others. When confronted with a seemingly simple decision that requires our words and deeds others take the record with a magnifying glass so to speak.
We are subject to a high level of deception by numbers, yet the Kingdom of God operates on the system of one for example: despise not small beginnings, the diminutive foxes spoil the vine and Jesus left the 99 for the one. In other words get the foundation right, the small things right and the rest follow. Our decisions as Children of God must be based on Biblical insights to provide solutions to proceed as citizens of the Kingdom of God. We know not the entire Sovereign will of God, but as children, we are unified by scripture. Therefore, Spirit-led walking by faith and trusting in God is our best alternative.
Heaven is thus, and God designed it to contain perpetual victory for its adherents.
Thinking about the humility of Jesus and the preaching of the gospel, Jesus taught the bitter along with the sweet mirroring realities giving eternal truths with natural meaning. Making the gospel a fairytale by teaching the good news alone is a disservice. It is also hardship, trials, tribulation, mistrust, division, and turmoil, amongst all the things we got through as saints. Jesus left us two important Keys to the Kingdom one being love and the other humility. God is shaping our humility through love and shape our love through humility. When our ways please God, as we labor we unwitting dodge many unseen dangers; notwithstanding, by remaining humble, we attract a host of angelic beings upholding us as we walk daily through many perils.
Recently I saw a movie called Hidden Figures and thought that this could not be a true story. This motion picture coupled with Fences were the two African American must see films this year, but Hidden Figures impacted me far beyond August Wilson’s screenplay. The memories of my past flooded my mind because I was alive during the climax of the real events that occurred in this movie yet was ignorant of the facts Hidden Figures exposed. It was exciting to know that it was the mathematics of a black woman that came into play when determining the trajectory used to get a man to the moon and back to earth safely in 1969. Why wasn’t this taught during Black History month while I was coming to age? Opening a Pandora’s box of other questions like: Did we ever arrive on the moon and why haven’t we returned since 1969? Did Galileo and Newton discover the great things they were credited with or was it of African origin, etc.?
Remembering asking my guidance counselor why I had to take applied math instead of algebra my freshman now made sense and remembering why the zeitgeist frowned upon African Americans pursuing advanced science and math courses. During the eighties, it was considered very uncool to enjoy these disciplines.
My DNA begged to differ not towards math but didactical thinking. How could wisdom be veiled and replaced with a bundle of lies and mistreatments and an standardized devaluation of the mitochondrial strains which internally connect me? Instead of celebrating the scholastic interests that were ever so present, people around me while I was growing up reveled in simple jest and were content with a bundle of lies handed to us by American culture.
This movie was a micro view into a panoramic past. The biggest fraud was the logic that brown and tan people were inherently criminal. This logic is apparent from the overwhelming number of African Americans and Latinos that are in the prison population as opposed to Asians, Askenazi Jews and Whites for that matter. Brown and Tan people in America are placed in boxes in America and fed lies repetitively until a lie is accepted as truth. This great deception is a strong delusion! Brown and tan people are carted to correctional facilities so Blanche could be safe. While fakers like the bloody Dame who lied on Emmit Til sing America the beautiful.
After being fed lies for nearly fifty years, I am coming to realize that Black is a status. A status of inferiority immediately thrusts upon brown or tan individuals born in America, hounding us non stop publicly and privately. This is a design that perpetuates a permanent underclass in the United States of America. Those who subscribe to racism and are subject to its ill effects are its legitimate preservers (see Stockholm Syndrome). It is sick when whites are rewarded for being white and brown and tan people are denigrated for being brown or tan. When this behavior is institutionalized it is not long until that society ends unless this malady is corrected. But once you accept this reward OJ of Bill Cosby still keep it real with your folks Tiger Woods. Once you betray those brown and tan Americans still held at bay by the false iron grip of racism and whites get tired of using you where can you go or where can they turn? White society acts as a unit because the media controls their train of thought. (with a few exceptions. True black beauty lies in the fact that you could be yourself without keeping another brown or tan person down. The Willie Lynch style indoctrination is breakable by the warrior soul. My beautiful black princes and princesses who rise above mediocrity into the blissful state of I AM.

SIGN OF THE TIMES/politricks as usual
Tamron Hall: Left/fired, whatever, from Today, clearing the way for anti-Trump blond, from the now pro-Trump Fox News! Melissa Harris-Perry (the media’s real life Mary Jane) canned by MSNBC, then emotionally sobs all-around uTube after being fired. The late Great Gwen Ifill, was permanently silenced after she grilled Hillary (give em football numbers) Clinton. Stacy (No Black History Month) Dash fired from Fox News. Affectionately know as “the black girl” by Roger Ailes is experiencing the effects of being Black in America within the “Making America Great Again” agenda she promoted.
Keep ya head up
“And since we all came from a woman
Got our name from a woman and our game from a woman I wonder why we take from our women Why we rape our women, do we hate our women?
I think it’s time to kill for our women be real to our women.” Tupac Amaru Shakur
GAY LIVES MATTER: Affections Supplanted
The website of Black Lives Matter is a place that you can give donations that support the LBGT agenda. This agenda consists of ripping apart the traditional nuclear family and replacing it with a new model that consists of same sex parents that don’t advocate training a child in the way of natural affection (the way that he or she should go) but training our youth to think that its ok to be a homosexual. Biblically this is unsound and an offense to God. Somebody’s lying, and it’s not God. This is not an attack on an organization that provides assistance to the rights of Blacks, but when another agenda replace an authentic grass roots movement, it should be known.
“This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without NATURAL AFFECTION, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, high-minded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts,
Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.” (2 Tim. 3:1-7)

Since wisdom requires effort, and it is a human’s natural inclination to recline, acquiring wisdom is not for the lazy. Gathering sense becomes the habit for the naturally inquisitive. It hides well, usually in plain sight and is mostly obscured by false reason. It is readily assessable but must be sought out to unlock its benefits. Virtual Wisdom is like a light placed upon a darkened path. It illuminates and exposes the options for best results in any endeavor. Virtual Wisdom does not have to be esoteric. This wisdom could be already known to others but unknown to some in gathering whatever it takes to succeed. It expands through geometrical progression until it reaches the masses through human interaction. Nowadays, the answer to any question is readily available at your fingertips or on a nearby bookshelf. Ironically, Virtual Wisdom is not yet wisdom but mere knowledge of a right path, but it is filed as wisdom because an effort is needed to gain it. Exhibit 1a: Like going to school to learn a profession or trade.
Knowledge needs a conversion to be wisdom. Intellectual Wisdom gained through Virtual Wisdom is the student of a great teacher named experience. This empirical knowledge can be drawn upon and applied to resolve various obstacles. Also, the observance of the actions of others could preach volumes to your soul and inspire you to action.
Learning from the success or failure of others is a greater teacher than experience but carries less credibility. To succeed by observing others is an incredible feat.
When inspired by others to tread upon the unfamiliar, courage is needed. Courage and faith are the intangibles that are seen clearly as a result of Intellectual Wisdom. Success is bred through the repetition of Courage and Faith, to win in life and to accomplish your goal is the Hallmark of Intellectual Wisdom. Untouched vistas exist beyond the realm of the one who uses the triple alliance (repetition, faith, and courage). These open the world to vast insight upon plateaus that the world has yet to see. Exhibit 1b: Like going to school to learn a profession or trade and then getting a job in your area with an appropriate income.
Common Sense Wisdom
The homespun wisdom that requires no book knowledge just plain common sense is best. It guards against self-sabotage and aberrant behaviors. The spiritual engineering project called life built over time needs great care. Carelessness, youthful exuberance and bad behavior can undo much good that it took a lifetime to build. My mother used to say never quit a job until you have another source of income. A steady stream to pay your bills. She reminded me to make up my bed before I left for school. You never knew when visitors might come. These two things speak to the maintenance and preparedness that life’s unexpected turns could bring and could jeopardize your hard work. It takes common sense to guard against these. Exhibit 1c: Like going to school to learn a profession or trade and then getting a job in your area with an appropriate income and keeping it providing for your family with respect in your community and inspiring all through your gifts.

“President Castro, I think, has pointed out that in his view making sure that everybody is getting a decent education or health care, has basic security and old age, that those things are human rights as well. I personally would not disagree with him,” Obama said.
I was impressed with Obama. His image was much better than any President since Kennedy. Obama was decent, and his legacy shall remain intact. I’m glad Obama’s father was African. You should recognize Obama could go to places other Presidents could not. Let’s see where Trump takes the U.S. I hope he does well. Just pondering “Great Again” hmmm you mean back when the scales were tipped to disenfranchise Americans and empower one group over another, it’s all perspective people imagine getting beaten to near death and not only saying but believing “why can’t we all just get along.” Would you rather say that or kick a person when actually their making America great. Maybe after Trump, there will be another Afro-American President.

Why an unfriendly disposition towards us?
Adam was created perfect and dwelled in God’s presence in
Eden. As he walked through the Garden of Eden, imagine light upon his face illuminating the formidable features of the first man. Part soil, partly God breathed Adam walked with God upon the earth as an immortal. Satan aware of this union sought to terminate any form of discipleship upon the earth towards God. Adam’s peace with God became the prime target of Satan. Just as the angels who rebelled, man’s predisposition of being an agent of free will, made him a candidate for adhering to the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes and the pride of life. Although Lucifer’s metamorphosis into Satan was instantaneous, his legacy’s best reflected as “Pride goeth before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall” Proverbs 16:18. Just because a thing does not exist anymore, its existence can be veiled but not denied. “Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices” 2 Corinthians 2:11.
“The soul that sinneth, it shall die” Ezekiel 18:20a.
Failure follows Satan! Satan influenced disobedience to God through lies; thus, affecting the DNA of our progenitors making Adams seed have a natural disposition towards sin and away from following God. Adam shifts blame to Eve; then she points to the serpent. In Eden the opening for the destroyer was disobedience and acceptance of taking responsibility for sin or failure can only result back into success with godly remedies. The remedy for sin is a sacrifice as foreshadowed by Levitical law. “For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul” Leviticus 17:11.
“Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come into him, and will sup with him, and he with me” Revelation 3:20.
The Apostle John’s depicted Jesus in his writings as standing at the door, this is interpreted as the door of our heart. The Levitical priest sprinkled blood at the door of the tabernacle making an application to atone one’s sin. The destroyer is shut out by confessing that Christ died for our sin and believing that this is an atonement for our sin. John called Jesus the Lamb of God slain before the foundations of the world. This same Jesus of Nazareth, from the tribe of Judah, of the lineage of Israel, of the seed of Abraham, descended from Shem of the son of Noah. Jesus’ human genealogy written in the book of Luke qualifies him as a sacrifice the immaculate conception within the womb of the virgin makes him pure and able to cleanse our hearts unto God.
Good definition and explanation of a Brasen Wall.
“For, behold, I have made thee this day a defenced city, and an iron pillar, and brasen walls against the whole land, against the kings of Judah, against the princes thereof, against the priests thereof, and against the people of the land. And they shall fight against thee; but they shall not prevail against thee; for I am with thee, saith the LORD, to deliver thee.”~ Jeremiah 1:18-19
The first chapter of Jeremiah closes with God announcing that He had (while speaking) made Jeremiah into three things:
God used these symbols to send a message through Jeremiah to the people of Judah, and He is still using them to speak to believers today.
Part 3: BRASEN WALLS
Except in Jeremiah 15:20, which is a reiteration of Jeremiah 1:18 (above), there are no other references to a brasen wall (a wall made…
