Our relationship with others is a vital part of our life and how others view you attribute to adult behavior. Nevertheless, youthful exuberant is refreshing because of its raw, unadulterated honesty. Childish responses to adult situations at times are looked upon as spots of nothingness to the well-informed adult brain. Children seldom act in regards of how others will perceive them. They just do what is convenient for them and what please their immediate concerns. Adults are full of agendas and political referendums that stack upon each other contributing to a complex compilation of routes and themes that are confusing to the uninformed and impossible to discern for a child. This is why I believe Jesus said: “Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the Kingdom of Heaven.” (Matt.18:3) The rules to the Kingdom of Heaven are simply encapsulated in the Golden Rule “Do unto others as you will have them do unto you” nothing more nothing less. In speaking truth, it matters little if you rub someone the wrong way or if you speak out of turn. The Kingdom of is thus, and God designed it to contain perpetual victory for its adherents
I Corinthians 13th also known as the Love Chapter is a nugget of truth that gives us a glimpse of perfected love. “When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things” I Cor. 13:11. In the Kingdom of God, when responding in faith and humility, it is imperative to consider the implications of what others may perceive in what you say or do. A chief concern for those in the Light is not to quench the Spirit, as one decides how to render judgment towards others. When confronted with a seemingly simple decision that requires our words and deeds others take the record with a magnifying glass so to speak.
We are subject to a high level of deception by numbers, yet the Kingdom of God operates on the system of one for example: despise not small beginnings, the diminutive foxes spoil the vine and Jesus left the 99 for the one. In other words get the foundation right, the small things right and the rest follow. Our decisions as Children of God must be based on Biblical insights to provide solutions to proceed as citizens of the Kingdom of God. We know not the entire Sovereign will of God, but as children, we are unified by scripture. Therefore, Spirit-led walking by faith and trusting in God is our best alternative.
Heaven is thus, and God designed it to contain perpetual victory for its adherents.
Thinking about the humility of Jesus and the preaching of the gospel, Jesus taught the bitter along with the sweet mirroring realities giving eternal truths with natural meaning. Making the gospel a fairytale by teaching the good news alone is a disservice. It is also hardship, trials, tribulation, mistrust, division, and turmoil, amongst all the things we got through as saints. Jesus left us two important Keys to the Kingdom one being love and the other humility. God is shaping our humility through love and shape our love through humility. When our ways please God, as we labor we unwitting dodge many unseen dangers; notwithstanding, by remaining humble, we attract a host of angelic beings upholding us as we walk daily through many perils.

An attitude of dependence as we recognize that all we have is a gift of God.
Scripture: Luke 18:9-14
9And he spake this parable unto certain which trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and despised others:
10 Two men went up into the temple to pray; the one a Pharisee, and the other a publican.
11 The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortionist, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican.
12 I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess.
13 And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner.
14 I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for every one that exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.
Humility expresses a genuine dependency on God and others
… and others?
Q: You may ask why others? A: So that we do not become an island unto ourselves. This is clearly seen in the philosophy of interdependence, lived out in the years before Jesus was born in the prophet’s roles as intermediary. Prophets understood their role in the connection between God and Man (i.e. standing in the gap). Interdependence has been advocated by preachers since Christ who saw the relevance and importance of all things to hasten the will of God into fruition ((NT) i.e. understanding even Judas’ role to bring Christ’s victory over death (OT). When Israel violated God he prophesied “And I will prepare destroyers against thee”… (Jer. 22:7).
The Nature of pride shuts out the need for God and people” (page 338).
“No man is an island unto himself?” (Attributed to John Donne: 1572- 1631). Unlike dependence (needy) and independent (self reliant), interdependence requires the cooperation of each member in a group much like the organs in a body when each organ performs at optimal levels it produces optimal health.
Spiritually, we produce greater works using this same philosophy of interdependence. Humility is required to understand your role and perform it in a manner that the dead, living and unborn would not be able to excel you at it (see MLK speeches). Not only does this bring Glory to God but it is a source of personal fulfillment (See Unit IV, Personal Growth). God’s Roles: God created the Heaven and the Earth. Christ is the Head of the Church. The Holy Spirit fills the believer. There is a distinction between the church, world and Israel.
Horizontal form of Love should saturate the body of Christ
“But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ: 16 From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love” (Ephesians 4:15-16).
QUESTION: What’s the largest organ in the body?
“Humility is an attitude of the heart” (page 339).
“But the Lord said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the Lord seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the Lord looketh on the heart” (I Samuel 16: 7).
ATTRIBUTES OF HUMILITY (page 339).
- Humility is quick to confess sin and slow to point out sin in others (blame shifting).
- Humility asks for and receives God’s forgiveness and in turn is quick to forgive others.
- Humility is content to be behind the scenes (the tax collector stood at a distance Luke 18:13).
The Necessity of Spiritual Warfare: Origin of Pride
Lucifer: son of the Morning now Satan, deceives to believe he is the Morning Star.
“Your heart became proud because of your beauty; For the sake of your splendor you corrupted your wisdom. So I threw you down to the earth; I made a spectacle of you before kings” (Ez. 28:17 HCS).
“How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! (13) For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: (14) I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the Most High” (Isaiah 14:12-14).
Satan Cast From Heaven
“So the great dragon was thrown out-the ancient serpent, who is called the Devil and Satan, the one who deceives the whole world. He was thrown to earth, and his angels with him” (Rev.12:9).
“I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star (Revelation 22:16).
POV: Humility in Specific Services in public worship (Prayer, Giving and Fasting) is exceptionally ordained by God. Yet, this is to be continued in our personal lives all while praising God in all things. Even so the more, God rewards us greatly when these are practiced in private which is the rule (principle).
God is Distinct IDENTIFIED with the UNIVERSE
From known as Pantheism, transcendentalism
Emerson/Thoreau One with nature.
the Universe e.g. Zen Buddhism, Christian Science, Mary Baker Eddy
God is to the universe as the mind is to body
…”The testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy…” (Revelation 19:10).
Trust in Him!
